“This is a $900 million investment into much-needed jobs and tourism infrastructure, particularly at a time when there is still weakness in the global and national economies.
As the peak representative body for business on the Sunshine Coast, we have a clear understanding of Council’s economic development strategies and the hard work they, and the business community, have put into implementing them over the past four years.
This project reflects Council’s vision for the Coast’s economy and tourism industry and will deliver the first five-star hotel for the region in almost 30 years.
Sekisui House has done extensive community engagement and has taken on feedback in preparing their new proposal.
We urge the Council when assessing the Yaroomba Beach application to ensure the best outcome for the Sunshine Coast.”
