The Sunshine Coast Business Council today revealed its expectations of next week’s Sunshine Coast Council budget citing economic development, key infrastructure projects and fees related to local businesses as the high priority areas for the next financial year.

Over the past six months, the Sunshine Coast Business Council has been working with business, industry and council representatives from across the region as part of the Sunshine Coast Economic Development Taskforce.

A collaborative partnership of Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regional development organisations is spearheading a workforce research initiative to identify the region’s supply of skills and labour to meet future demands of key infrastructure projects and the resource sector boom.
