UPDATE 12.15pm: Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson has said the cost of an advertising campaign pushing for more medical student places at the new hospital is “peanuts”.
Responding to criticism leveled at him on Twitter by state MP for Kawana, Jarrod Bleijie, Cr Jamieson today said the financial cost of the #OperationMedSchool campaign was insignificant compared to the loss the region would suffer if the Sunshine Coast University Hospital is not able to operate as a medical school.
