Over 30 members of the Sunshine Coast Business Council (SCBC) from across industries including construction, property, tourism, education and health met at in Marcoola yesterday as part of the advocacy organisation’s annual Strategic Directions Workshop.  Presentations included those on the health of the national and regional economies by Ted O’Brien MP and Hayden Rudd respectively, the pipeline of regionally significant projects and what that means in terms of potential jobs by Urbis and member projects such as the Big Pineapple renewal, Badderam Eco Luxe Resort and Spa, Sunshine Coast Airport and the Sunshine Coast Health Precinct. There were also presentations on how two Business Council projects undertaken in 2018 have progressed.  From these presentations, Sunshine Coast Business Council will determine its focus and advocacy agenda for the year ahead.

The Sunshine Coast Business Council is the leading regional business advocacy group on the Sunshine Coast. It represents approximately 4,000 businesses through its membership, which includes key national and regional industry groups and their members as well as national and regional businesses.
