We are all aware of the housing crisis being experienced throughout Australia and in the Sunshine Coast Region. There is a lot of publicity and talking around housing affordability and availability putting pressure on businesses seeking to attract staff, students wishing to study on the Coast and the vulnerable trying to find affordable housing to keep them from falling into homelessness. Both the Sunshine Coast and Noosa councils have recently released housing strategies and this lunch is a chance to hear from the regional councils’ Chief Executives on how their housing strategies will address housing availability and affordability and accommodation shortage for renters, tourists and our homeless people.
